Academy of the New Church - Girls School Reviews
Rating 4.18 out of 5 45 reviews
Overall, I had a difficult time with the environment. I found the institution itself to be unwelcoming, but the teachers were wonderful. I felt supported by my teachers, particularly in my extracurriculars such as dance and theater. During my time at ANC, there were multiple protests, demonstrations and discussions led by students which definitely made the school a better place. I enjoyed more than anything else the performing arts program and the people who come with it. Academy of The New Church has provided me with an environment in which I could better my communication skills, grow my confidence, and help me become a more upstanding member of society.
I loved how welcoming my school was when I first joined as a Junior. The Girl's School at The Academy has a strong sense of community that was easy to see, even on my first day there. I've also been able to try so many different things here with their wonderful performing arts and sports departments. I have adored almost all of my teachers and have made great connections with them. Not only have I been able to thrive as a day student, but as a dorm student as well. I'm grateful for the independence I've been taught and the bonds I've made.
I loved my experience at my high school. I found friends for life and made connections with my teachers that will last a lifetime. I always felt loved and supported during my time at the Academy. My worst experience with the Academy was the freshman in dance class who wouldn't stop talking while the teacher was trying to teach. I would like to see more coed classes.
