The Academy of the Holy Family is a Catholic day and boarding high school for American and international young women in grades 9-12. Our high school was founded in 1874 by the Sisters of Charity. The vision of the Academy of the Holy Family is to strive for superior academic and college preparation, anchored in faith and moral development for national and international young women. By building on the charism of the Sisters of Charity of Our Lady, Mother of the Church, AHF provides differentiated instruction for students while continuing to instill the Academy’s long-term traditions of service, independence, and leadership.
A unique course our school offers is Life Skills where students learn to prepare themselves for family, work life, and careers by empowering individuals to manage the challenge of living and working in a diverse global society. Our students from all over the country and all over the world come together to form a close-knit family that will remain with them!

Academy of the Holy Family Reviews
AHF helped me to break out of my shell, taught me to be a leader and step up, exposed me many different cultures as our school is very diverse, allowed me to uniquely love the individuals around me, and most importantly, brought a revival in my faith. I was able to be involved in my extracurricular activities which helped me to see my interests and strengths.
I enjoyed dorm life in the upperclassmen dorm very much. We would have homemade Sunday dinners altogether, weekend trips, and game/movie nights with one another. Dorm life helped prepare me for life away from home in college.
Overall, there is a good formation that is to be received at AHF and I would recommend it to anyone thinking about attending!
