My son has been going to Academy of St. Joseph since Pre-K 3 and is now a 1st grader. We relocated from Los Angeles and had a hard time finding the right school for our son. We wanted a close knit community, a catholic education, small class size, and high academic standards all at a reasonable price. It felt like finding a needle in a haystack but The Academy of St. Joseph checked all the boxes we were looking for. It's an independent catholic school, which allows them to develop the highest quality curriculum but still infuse religious values. It is a diverse community of families that is welcoming of all religions. It was the perfect mix of everything we were looking for!

Excellent school. Such a close-knit community, and you can tell the staff/teachers really care. Small class sizes allow for individualized attention for students.
Angela (head of the school) is a wonderful presence and her positive energy is contagious!
I have two children at AOSJ who both absolutely love the school. Our daughter is in Pre-K and we currently only have her going to school 3 times a week- she can’t wait to go every day because she is so happy at school. My son has become so much more confident. The school is an encouraging and safe environment where students can be themselves.

It is such a supportive and caring community. Your child is not a number at AOSJ. The teachers and administration know each child and their unique personalities, strengths, and weaknesses. Parents help each other out and look out for each other’s children. It takes a village.

Most importantly to us, there is a strong sense of values at the school. We wanted to preserve the innocence of our children, and not grow up too fast in this city. There is a focus not only on academic excellence, but also on ensuring they are shaped into good people- which is captured in the school's motto- growing in character, competence, and compassion.
