I am currently enrolled in my senior year at TVF, and will be graduating in June of 2020. I absolutely love this school with all of my heart! If I could stay in HS forever, I would. The teachers are out of this world. The academics, the support and the creativity that is spread amongst the school is outstanding! During your junior and senior year, you have college prep classes and counselors that guide you through the entire process. I am proud to say that I attend this high school and recommend it to anyone that wants to study anything along the lines of film and journalism!

Academy for Careers in Television & Film offers a wide variety of film/production courses which can help students get great internships that may open up many doors for them. The school has a very diverse environment, from students and teachers from many different backgrounds to courses ranging from coding to AP Psychology. The teachers are constantly willing to help every student succeed whether its within the classroom or outside in the real world. Overall, the school offers a lot of different courses to juniors and seniors that not a lot of public schools in New York offer. Every student has their own advisor who helps them stay on track for graduating and getting into their dream college. ACTVF continues to grow every year and continues to separate itself from other arts schools.
I'm going to be graduating from ACTVF (Academy for Careers in Television & Film), so, I might as well give a positive review considering I might never see ACTVF again. If you're aspiring to a career in or around film, ACTVF is for you. Here at ACTVF, you can learn about different aspects of filmmaking (but behind the camera. If you want in front of the camera, you go to Frank Sinatra.) within the film industry such as production design, editing, directing, and much more. The teachers with students, teachers with parents, and teachers with principals feel like a family.
