I love Abraham Lincoln Middle School and I massively enjoy the academic rigor at this school. However, this is only applicable to the Lyceum Program, of which I am a part. To be frank, the Major Program/mainstream appears horrible with many intensely rude people and nearly uncontrollable kids. (Not everyone in the Major Program is like this though.) In other words, the mainstream (Major Program) is terrible, the conditions in the school are terrible, but the Lyceum is beyond perfect, almost to the point where the Lyceum kids are a school unto themselves.
My experience with Lincoln Middle School was overall good. It had the courses needed to make students ready for high school. My teachers were mostly kind and encouraging to me. However, I also had experience with teachers and administration who favored others over me. What I want to see change is that I wish the administration would be more accepting of their students. There also has been a "divide" between the major program and the Lyceum (magnet) students. And with that, I suggest encouraging other creative and fun activities in where students of both programs can interact with each other.
I personally love this school, and I really think it’s one of the best Middle Schools in Florida. Lyceum, the gifted program here, is very diverse, and makes sure you always have a challenge.
