A great high school overall with a diverse student body! Many teachers and staff members are incredibly supportive and always teach with enthusiasm. No students are left behind because there’s always helpful resources like the after school peer tutoring or the health & wellness center to help them get back to their feet. The only thing I would critique about this school is that there’s a lack of AP and honors classes, so it’s difficult to get the AP credit that you want as an ambitious student.

When I first started high school here, I was a shy kid that would never talk to anyone and just go home after school. Throughout my schooldays before going to Abraham Lincoln high school, I would have to say my day to day life was pretty boring. Before my high school days even started, I was greeted with the warmest welcomes during the jump start day. Throughout high school I jumped from club to club, and I eventually landed onto a sport, track and field. There is nothing to say about the coaches except for how great they are! They always pushed everyone to try their best. We would always be so dead after our first run, then we would all somehow manage to pull out 5 more. I became great friends with all my teammates, even the ones that barely speak! Track and field is what shaped me to become the person that I am today. High school would not have been the same if I did not stumble upon track and field.
I went here for four years. I've seen the improvements on the technology we use (Chromebooks and computers) and their plans to fix the old building. They do have the best opportunities in sports academics (biotech, academy, honors, AP, Step to College, CCSF classes) but there's only one chemistry teacher. We haven't fixed that. Most of our teachers were cool or strict or both. Unfortunately, the best college prep classes are given through one of the four career academies or AVID. There's about 500 students per grade. You're going to have to pace yourself and know what you're doing since here's only two counselors (for your grade and college advice) supporting you. If you wanted to contact them, you had to email. My advice is to do your own research (asking or reading online) if you don't know something. It'll help. Thanks for reading.
