It is an excellent school academically with a lot of unique opportunities.
They have a good variety, most before school. They include: choir, band, global virtual classroom (with an international partner school), yearbook, current events, fifth grade camping trip, etc.
The facilities are very good.

The Administration is fair and puts students first.
They do not have teams, but Physical Education is excellent and there are Park District and other local programs on school property outside of school hours.
The school has diversity in terms of white and African-American students. There are also some Asian and Latino students. There are few Middle Eastern students. The Latino population is growing.
I always felt that the school was safe. I did not know about all of the policies so chose N/A for some.
All three of my children attended Lincoln and it was a wonderful experience. The Gifted and Talented Development teacher, Mr. Kuntz, was excellent and really fostered their academic interests, particularly in math and technology. The Spanish Immersion Program was unique, with top notch teachers and both linguistic and cultural opportunities.
