The UVA School of Continuing and Professional Studies is phenomenal. It's a great way for students who've recently completed their undergraduate studies to gain a foothold in the workforce. I secured a job that was outside of the scope of my undergraduate degree. The UVA program allowed me to fill in the blanks with their graduate-level certificate program.
I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at UVA as a student. The professors clearly care about their students and want them to feel as if they're gaining valuable knowledge. Their passion for the course material really comes across and makes it an engaging and fun time spent in the classroom. As a part-time student, I did have some difficulty making sure that the courses were part-time friendly which caused some stress. However, luckily my employer was flexible AND the faculty members (specifically the program director) were willing to come up with creative solutions to accommodate my schedule.
The University of Virginia Masters of Engineering program is an excellent experience. Whether you choose earn your degree on campus or online you take the same live and interactive classes. You get to spend time communicating with the teachers and they truly care about the welfare and experience of their students. This degree program is well worth the time and cost.
