University of Texas - San Antonio Reviews
Rating 4.49 out of 5 86 reviews
The University of Texas at San Antonio provided me with the perfect environment and opportunity for learning. I thoroughly enjoyed the small class sizes as it allowed me to become close to my fellow peers in the various related masters programs. The faculty was always very available to any students and helped us feel comfortable in learning and asking questions. I will wholeheartedly leave this program a much better student than when I entered it. I was also allowed the opportunity to work as a graduate teaching assistant for the upper level undergraduate microbiology labs. This helped me polish my teaching skills and contributed to my enthusiasm for education. I enjoyed every aspect of this program from its rich and immersive curriculum to all of the outside opportunities for professional and personal development. I am now a stronger biologist, especially in my laboratory skills which I felt were lacking from solely my undergraduate experiences. This will definitely help in the future
I love the University of Texas at San Antonio because everyone I've encountered has been so friendly and kind. My professors are all knowledgable, helpful, and flexible. I've enjoyed being able to explore the city of San Antonio and I feel that UTSA provides their students with a plethoria of resources. I was nervous for my experience as a graduate student because of the many cautionary tales I have heard about the unreasonable workload that graduate students face. So far in my graduate career I have been able to continue my part-time job and have had many classmates balance a full time job, being a parent, or achieve life events such as getting married. All of my professors have been very understanding that we have lives outside of school and need to be able to balance it all. Overall, I have really enjoyed my experience as a graduate student at UTSA and feel that my professors have prepared me well for the real world.
The academics at UTSA (University of Texas - San Antonio) has been quite well with showing how they care about us students. I believe they can improve vaguely on having the classes closer to each other when switching classes. Other than that, I believe this school is the perfect education and academics overall!
