The entire University of Puerto Rico system (all campuses) have excellent programs, professors, a wide variety of culture and backgrounds. It is the most excellent and actually the cheapest of the country.

I am a full time PhD student and, in my experience, this was the best decision I made in a long time. The university offers many opportunities and diverse learning experiences to students of all levels. Definitely, you leave the university prepared for the world.
No need for "Greek Life". It's a place where you come to study. It's diversity of culture and ideas are a great experience for the real world. Lots of places for
Fun. It's a paradise island. Cost is second to none. Security is like any big city University (NYU, Soborne, etc ) without the nut shootings that occur in the USA. People who are critical just couldn't cut it at la "IUPI" everything else is just cultural differences that other people don't and can't tolerate. Try it, live it and you won't forget that you were a " Gallito"
