I personally have not been there in person, however as an international student I have contacted several personnel in the university in order to be able to complete my paperwork. Everyone has been so kind to me and have guided me through bullet points on what I need to follow up with next. My advisor has been super helpful with the smallest questions, like even promoting my email about a roommate search, or directing me to the right department, or giving me advice on potential living areas out of campus. Everyone replies real quick on the emails, and the few people i have talk to on the phone with, have been super kind people.
I will be pursuing the Biomechanics department at UNO, and as of now they are growing stronger and stronger in their research, for the young program they are. I cannot wait to be part of the team this Fall, and be part of and help boost the leading research they are into right now. The variety of electives in my field is vast while also very specified and unique, with courses like AI. Courses can also be taken in nearby schools like UNMC, which allows students for a variety of choices and exploitation of equipment more personalized for those in the medical field.
The University of Nebraska at Omaha is the perfect college for anyone! No matter where you are from, your situation, financial situation, and anything in between, UNO is your home away from come. Out of my four years at UNO the only thing I would like to see change is parking. otherwise, this college is PERFECT!
