University of Illinois at Springfield Reviews

The online program for teachers is great for students who work and have families to care for. The program is engaging and the professors foster good collaboration among the students. I was given many opportunities to demonstrate my understanding and application of many of the concepts taught and the professors provided me with feedback on my learning. Personally I would not have been able to complete my educational pursuits and fulfill my academic goals without their great online program. It helped me to develop discipline and good work habits as I worked within the community of online learners. I was satisfied with the pacing of the courses and the professors were highly knowledgeable about their content area. I’d recommend the online teaching program to anyone!

The opportunity to get my masters while working going to school at night was very flexible. They have a program called GPSI which stands for graduate public service internship. This program allows you to work for a state government agency and gain experience while the state agency pays for your tuition and the school pays the student a stipend each month. The money is not great but it balances out not having to pay for tuition. Your coworkers and teachers understand that working and going to school is hard and are very flexible when you need help. I have learned so much in the classroom and at work. I believe that it is a great opportunity to feel out what you’re looking for in your career.
Coursework has been challenging, but has a real world application. Professors truly work hard to make every course meaningful.
