The University of Houston is a great place to attend college. The campus feel is rather friendly and welcoming. The classes are easy to sign up for and there are plenty of availability in classes. The professors are firm but friendly. The programs and classes are interesting and full of needed information to move forward. The only change I would make would be work on making UH a bit more diverse! I suggest going to HBCUs around the country and introducing the students of color to UH. It would be so nice to see more people of color and programs geared towards different populations.
Overall, UH is a wonderful place to get an education! Go COOGS!

University of Houston is a great school, very diverse and has lot of thing to offer on and off campus! You can study what ever you would like and you wont be judged. Pursuing a higher degree at the University of Houston would be such a great idea. There is nothing that I would change in particular about this colligate school.
Safety of the students is bad. No one cares about mental health. No one cares about PhD student’s life and work pressure. No one care if PhD students are treated fine. Some professors are horrible. Very limited good research labs. They are taking student every semester but no good labs to work on. No mental health program. Health insurance for international student is horrible, very expensive. Graduate student stipend is a joke. Paying a huge amount to health insurance that adds massive financial burden.
But campus if good. Positive vibes, good people.
