University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine Graduate Reviews

Every school has their pros and cons, but weighing those at the UGA CVM, my rating stands at five stars. Pros: Excellent faculty in didactic and clinical teaching, close campus community as well as unique, fun local atmosphere; recently built (2014), state-of-the-art teaching hospital; opportunity to engage in research; administration listens to students and takes action. Cons: Increasing class size (as with most other veterinary schools), out-of-state tuition, as an equine student, while we see many horses, I wish the caseload was higher.

160K for an education where I'm not being taught.... I'm being lectured too. Extremely outdated and inefficient method for teaching veterinarians currently. However, I do think things will change in the coming years... I just won't be around at that time to see it.
The well-laid out curriculum prepares students for their clinical year well and the clinical year provides a solid foundation from which to begin practicing veterinary medicine in the real world.
