The academics at UCCS have proven to be both rigorous and challenging, providing me with excellent opportunities to be immersed in the field of Mechanical Engineering. I have found myself enjoying the teaching of many of my professors and truly taking their knowledge to heart. I have been prepared well enough to succeed that I have actually been readily accepted to many internships with DoD affiliated companies. I have been provided with many excellent connections to highly technical companies and organizations, some of which I would be easily accepted into. UCCS has also given me a rich connection to many of my professors, which I have cherished all throughout my college education.
Great people and is located in beautiful Colorado Springs. UCCS has "The Bluffs" behind it, which are towering, mountainlike sandstone formations, which can be hiked to get an amazing view of campus and the city. The buildings have a very clean and rustic feeling, as many of them are part of Colorado Springs' history. The Mechanical Engineering degree program has proved to be an excellent and enjoyable experience. Their sports program has also served me extremely well, propelling me to achieve and place in conference championships in Track and Cross Country. In total, I would choose no other college than UCCS and am grateful to have found my dream school.
