University of Alabama - Birmingham School of Education Reviews

1 review
What I liked most about the University of Alabama at Birmingham's Alternative Master's Program in Elementary Education is the realistic job outlook that the professors provided for us teacher candidates. To illustrate, during the first year of the program, I learned an immense amount about the theorists in education, hands-on and inquiry-based instructional strategies to keep children engaged, and the importance of building autonomy in children. We also got the opportunity to teach whole and small group shared reading, guiding reading, read-alouds, number talks, and 5E science lessons to students from various social, economic, and cultural backgrounds. What I would like to change is the ability to network with administration more often.
