University of Akron Graduate Reviews

4 reviews
They don't know what they are doing at this university. What a pathetic excuse for a university. They didn't prepare me well for my internship, even though they told me I was prepared, they didn't help me out with finding my internship, or have connections with the biggest employer in the area: where I interned. Their course availability is not great at all. The instructors are either too easy to too difficult. The workers are overworked and irritable. Also to mention, there is an incredible lack of diversity in the STEM programs at this school: mostly white and Asian people. The enrollment is declining and this university needs to stop abusing its students and to get it together in its programs.

I like Akron University. It is a very nice campus. It allowed me to earn my degree from a reputable school. It is well known within the area. I enjoyed my time there. The professors were pretty ok. Some were really bad while a few were awesome! I am glad I went to school here and I decided to go for grad degree here for this reason.
Graduate programs are generally good. If you enjoy athletics, there are many to choose from. Professors are generally decent and approachable. They want you to succeed.
