University at Albany, SUNY Reviews
Rating 4.42 out of 5 45 reviews
Administratively they are extremely disorganized. Career services are extremely helpful and accommodating. Half my professors care about our success and are passionate about what they teach. The other half is extremely disrespect, unprofessional, and do not take any pride in their work.
The experience at University at Albany, SUNY has been mostly good. I didn't give it an "Excellent" 5-star rating because the administrative facilities have room for improvement.
I'll start with what's good: the facilities at the campus are good and well-sustained. Public transportation to and from the campus is frequent from within the city and also fairly connected with the entire capital region and New York City. The dining area is large with ample choices of food counters, the library is well stacked with physical and online resources, and the restrooms and tunnel connectors are mostly clean.
The administrative departments in charge of facilities such as student fees and health screening sometimes mess things up but they are taken care of promptly when contacted.
The only change I would like to see is additional access time to the university facilities, maybe 18-hour/day which would be helpful for grad students like me to work on project overnight on campus without being hungry.

The experience at University at Albany, SUNY has been mostly good. I didn't give it an "Excellent" 5-star rating because the ECE department is relatively new and has a long way to go in terms of technical and administrative facilities.
I'll start with what's good: the faculties are knowledgeable and put their best foot forward always. The courses are intuitive and challenging. It really broadens my knowledge and tests my understanding. Through various university programs, real-world knowledge can also be absorbed through the department. The dept. chair is a wonderful person, always ready to help students in need and interact with them. He is very approachable and friendly with the best of advice always.
The only change that I would like to see is the introduction of some new laboratory facilities, as I mentioned earlier as a technical shortcoming. Another would be the relaxation of rules for international students encouraging them to take part in industry-based internships.
