The Wheaton College Graduate School - Illinois Reviews
Rating 4.56 out of 5 27 reviews
The staff is phenomenal, in and out of the classroom! Small-town feels, but very close to Chicago so the city life is close by. Academically challenging !
The faculty and staff care about their community. The material you learn applies to your passion. What you make of this program is what you will get out of it. I encountered a few life changes during the pandemic and everyone on this team was supportive and understanding. My classmates, faculty and staff were all supportive and we have never met in person. All the classes were online but it was a good experience and the team did an amazing job providing opportunities for us to feel connected, close and safe. I would say that overall this community cares about everyone involved and the people groups that we all want to support and serve. The program is also targeted towards making significant changes in the concept of a "western" savior complex and teaching everyone that there are ways that helping can hurt and we are being taught best practice to not perpetuate this ignorance. It is a well researched and developed program focuses on holistic healing for the world and becoming present
This program is fantastic and what you're learning applies to how you want to change the world. Academically, you will be challenged and learn what you allow yourself to learn. I find that this program is geared towards driven intellectuals who are passionate about changing the world for good. The books you read, papers you write, and assignments you are given all work towards the goal of bettering you for your field of study and giving you the tools and needed resources to give back to community. This program also challenges you to think with a different perspective and apply what you learn in practicums that are geared towards enchanting your career. If you invest the time, to learn all you can and network with the faculty and staff you will find that this program is worth your money. You will become a better leader and give back to the world through humility, seeking justice and loving mercy and walking humbly with God. This is a faith-based program that is understanding of others
