The academic program is good so far. I enjoy the classes, and the material. The instructors seem to care about their students and their academic matriculation. We do have to pay close attention to our degree plans and not leave it solely up to our advisors. My favorite class far has been learning the different theories of counseling and hearing my professors share their experience in the field. The university could be better at allocating their funds, ill leave that at that. The university gives more a feel of a commuters campus. You really wouldn't know about the activities happening on campus unless you know someone who's a part of the organization. However when the word does get out about different events people show up. Maybe its different for graduate students. Homecoming is a big deal many students and more alumni show up to celebrate the school and cheer on the football team. The library is beautiful, one of my favorite parts of the campus, plenty of private study areas.
I am an education administration student. The professors are reflective and easily accessible. They also are willing to communicate until students fully grasp the concept of the content. I enjoy this program because the professors present information that is relevant to the current work that I am engaged in daily.
The graduate professors really care about their students and will do whatever it takes to see them succeed and complete their program. They are passionate about their work ensuring you as well will become passionate about your graduate work. The labs are very collaborative and contains some of the best equipment a lab could have.
