Texas A&M University Reviews

Specifically, I attend the Bush School and have really enjoyed it. I have one more year left, and over most of the professors, you can tell really care for their students. There are a lot of opportunities to get involved to help enrich your graduate experience, and you can really get more out of it the more that you are involved. The area of College Station/Bryan is quite small but you can easily go travel to areas like Houston, Austin, etc. YOu have an opportunity to be in classes with people who know the industry of public service really well and you learn from some of the best! One of my professors gave me sound advice, "if you have the opportunity to take a class from a former CIA agent, or Ambassador, then you need to do so". They hire some of the best in the field and there are many great professors to learn from and mentor you through your grad school career.
The toxicology program is small which allows for personal relationships with both professors and other graduate students in the program. It is also interdisciplinary which helps the students connect with other departments and encourages collaborations. They also encourage students to do externships to get real world experience and pride themselves on graduating students in a little over 4 years. There are some negatives to the program such that there is some staff turnover. Some of the classes required by the program do not always align with your research studies, making them feel unnecessary.
Howdy! As a Master's of Biomedical Sciences student at Texas A&M University in the School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, I received a lot of support from faculty and staff. My advising team is exceptional and the classes challenge me and prepare me for a future in a professional school.
