Great location for campus. It's very scenic and there are a lot of places around town. There is bussing that can bring you around the city and meet your needs. There are a lot of majors and minors that are interesting. They also offer online platform for classes. It's an affordable choice with quality education.
The financial aid office is terrible and they offer limited assistance and support. Admissions is pretty nice. They have a very competitive hockey team that is nationally ranked year after year. They also have many other sports teams that are highly competitive.
There a number of clubs and activities, student associations, etc.
Winters are disastrously terrible. If you don't like snow don't go here because they get a lot of it. It's right on the lake so it's very windy.

Right on the lake!!!!! All the same opportunities as any private school yet its so cheap! The professors are caring and engage all their students to a point of perfect understanding. Plus, freshmen dorms overlook the water for a peaceful sunrise in the morning. You like study abroad? SUNY has a lot of different opportunities that come with the SUNY community. COME TO OSWEGO, were happy here, after you stay for a semester you wont want to leave!!
Great experience. Love the flexibility. You have the ability to work full time and attend school. I highly recommend it.
