Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development Reviews
Rating 4.25 out of 5 8 reviews
I applied smoothly and successfully with an Admissions Counselor who was thoughtful, sweet and went above and beyond. Once we completed my enrollment and I transitioned to a Student Success Advisor, the ball was dropped severly. During the middle of my first semester of graduate school I was locked out of my student account that gave me access to upload my work because my account was not verified by my student success counselor. I tried several times to get in touch with her and it wasn't until the wek of finals that she returned from vacation and verified my account. At that point I had to take an imcomplete and with no prevail was I helped with receiving a refund to complete the course over again. The communication from asking for help just kept getting passed out and after 2 months of not speaking to 'the right person', I eventually left that institution to find a more respectable school that would take my work and my time seriously.
The course work was not difficult, the instructors were responsive, I wish that when I was locked out of my account there were alternatives to the technical issues that students such as myself went through. You are not allowed to email your work to professors at any point.
Staff was open and knowledgeable, they gave me a top quality program and education. The information presented was relevant to my career and the professors taught it with expertise.
