How could SHC be stronger? I wish SJC would provide a single page outline for each reading. Things like – The authors view of humanity, sin/lack of, what’s wrong with the world, how can we correct it, why did the author write the book, what is the historical context, what is the main plot, what is the outline. This shared outline would send the conversation over the top!
Update the cannon. The most updated Science book I read was written in 1912. I find that if one does not couple modern science (or political/society) with ancient science, it inhibits the student.

I loved my time at SJC (GI). This is the 5th college I have taken courses at, and nothing compares. I possessed a masters when entering, but was forced to read at a depth beyond anything in my prior education. You are asked to argue from the text only, no outside resource, history, or other text are allowed unless it was read in the previous seminar.
