The professors are well experienced in ethics, in resources, and in applicable skills that will carry over into real work with clients. The school has a clinic set up on site where we can begin to practice with real clients and they have staff that set up all the clients for us. All of the classes have texts that break down real theories and show how to apply them with clients. All of the professors teach from an application standpoint, meaning they aim to show you how the topics they cover work with real clients. They even offer a class on how to set up your own office to work with clients.
The academics at St. Edward's Uni are very good, the professors are engaging and love to teach! The class sizes are just right and I feel right at home with my peers.
Small personable school. HOWEVER. It is extremely expensive. The quality of the education is very high and faculty truly care. Would rate it 5 stars if not for the insane cost. Truly feels a very tolerant cool little community and the best possible education that will prepare you for the real world and even future educational endeavors. Good job, college, and life prep. Academics are rigorous but they will not completely kill you like at an Ivy if that makes sense. You will (barely) actually have time to sleep. Good study-work-life balance for school (which is always work-study intensive).
