Southern Illinois University Edwardsville Reviews

SIUe is a growing college. They used to be mostly a commuter school, but they offer in-state tuition for bordering states! The campus is beautiful and there is a wide variety of areas of study. I am in the biology program there, and the faculty are personable and genuinely want to help you succeed. They have multiple clubs you can join. The town of Edwardsville is not necessarily a college town, but it has everything that you need and more. I love SIU and would recommend it to anyone.

I enjoyed several of my classmates and the overall course offerings that SIUE had. I definitely feel like a FEW of the professors were excellent people, and that they served as excellent mentors. I would like to see the negative attitudes change (or be gone) from the 9/10 of the people here. Staff, faculty, and students were most miserable. On several occasions this attitude impeded me within my tenure here, and I left after six years of suffering with depression and anxiety.
My college experience was a rough one at first. I was super scared, as I was on my own for the first time. When coming to SIUE as a freshman I was nervous but immediately met people who became my life-long friends. Going through college changed me to the responsible adult that is me today. I would highly recommend all everyone to go to college to figure out what you want to accomplish in life but also learn how to be independent. Honestly speaking this is one of the best experiences I have had.
