Master's Student: Throughout my year at HGSE, one thing I heard over and over again was that you come to the Ed school for the people. This is overwhelmingly true. Professors are extremely passionate about their discipline and have incredible experiences to share with you. They make themselves readily available before and after class as well as during office hours. You can discuss lecture material and assignments, but I took the opportunity to learn more about their professional journeys, i.e. how they ended up being professors at Harvard. Peers are similarly passionate and each comes from diverse backgrounds, as teachers, executives at NGOs, and researchers. I feel privileged to have studied alongside them.

Graduate Student: Peabody's online program is an excellent option for working adults. The class schedule is flexible and the professors understand that the students are working adults- some with kids and families, and they try to accommodate them as best they can. We travel to the campus twice a year for an immersion, and the experience brings us closer as a cohort. It also gives us the opportunity to meet our professors in person.

Graduate Student: This is an excellent program. The program really pushes you and is tough. The program is very time consuming and demanding, but this is what gets you completely prepared for teaching on your own.

Graduate Student: Overall, it’s pretty good to be a grad student at TU in A&S, but that is changing rapidly. The faculty care about us and the other students do as well, but neither the Board of Trustees nor the President nor the Provost (now acting President) actually care about this particular group of students. They’d honestly rather A&S disappear to make way for “industry jobs”. If your goal is to pursue Psychology, then TU is a solid option. Other degrees housed under A&S? I’d look elsewhere just to be safe.

Alum: Wheaton College is not only gorgeous on the outside, but is full of beautiful people inside! The programs are rigorous, and are aimed to grow you personally not simply academically. I have never felt to invested in as when I was going to school there. The classes are rigorous, and you will be stretched intellectually, but you will be cared for in the process.

Graduate Student: I really liked that students can choose between an online or on campus platform, our online platform is still an immersive lecture where students share and exchange ideas alongside with the professor for all things mental health and therapy related. I will say, however, the students do the most work and we essentially teach ourselves. Additionally, it is extremely overpriced considering we do not actually gain access to the campus and it's resources.

Master's Student: I'm still a student in the Counseling Education program at Drake University. I've had a great experience so far in this program. I've networked and made friends with a lot of my classmates. The classes are manageable with a hectic life schedule like mine. I took three classes, had a bachelor party, a wedding, and managed to still work full-time and complete my homework. I had a class on my wedding day (Crazy I know) and my teacher was phenomenal to work with.
