    Graduate Student: UTH- houston is made up of strictly graduate and professional schools offering a lot of opportunities for research, and specified course work. The student programs are great and the community is welcoming. They also offer a bussing system between campuses, the gym and parking which is super helpful downtown!

      Graduate Student: This school is full of like minded people from such diverse backgrounds, that it is impossible to not find people you mesh with well. The professors and hospital staff are really welcoming and interested in your success as students and future colleagues. There are great opportunities to volunteer with your community and provide services to the underserved. Along with volunteer opportunities, there is a great Student Life team that keeps the entire campus moral up, and provides different events to help you balance a social and professional life. The campus itself has amazing student resources including a variety of workshops in order for you to learn and manage a variety of life's worries, such as stress and finances. The support is honestly quite amazing. I highly recommend considering the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, TX if you are interested in medicine, health, and being part of a community that makes it a priority to give back.

        Graduate Student: BCM meticulously introduces medical school students to the curriculum and the expectations of medical school life. The basic sciences are pass/fail and well-constructed to help you succeed. The introductory clinical course is undergoing restructuring, which is frustrating as it leads to some confusion and miscommunication of expectations in the only non-pass/fail course MS1s take. However, there are sufficient support structures and resources to succeed. The professors and deans are very involved with making sure students succeed, and care deeply about our wellbeing.
        The Texas Medical Center is the best possible place to be as a student with aspirations to be a medical innovator. Between TMCx, the dozens of high-profile hospitals staffed by some of the best clinicians and academicians in the world, and the resources like food courts and public transport designed to cater to health care professionals, it is well-designed for students and professionals alike.
