Graduate School of Social Work - University of Denver
Master's Student: I think the online program of the GSSW at the University of Denver is excellent. It is a really easy to follow format and you can see your progress. The instructors are really encouraging and the resources are up to date. The library is excellent. The Writing Center helps the student with preparing the best possible essays. There are resources for students going through stress or needing emotional or mental assistance, such as through the My SSP (Student Support Program). There are lots of opportunities to meet with the instructors, and the other senior faculty through training sessions, a 'virtual patio party', and other online events. It looks like they are doing their best to adapt the practicum and learning while still staying safe with COVID prevention measures. The faculty are excellent role models for the social work students of people who have combined direct practice work at the micro, mezzo, and macro levels and also have participated in scholarly research.
