      Alum: I had a generally positive experience at Wash U. St. Louis itself is a very underrated and nice, affordable city. In addition the campus and surrounding neighborhood is very well cared for and safe. The academics met my expectations. I was challenged but also was able to overcome those challenges with hard work and determination. I was in the design school, which was rapidly improving, including the construction of a brand new building . It is an expensive university, but that’s to be expected of a private school with so many resources. I was also very impressed by the generosity of donors, and benefited greatly from scholarships.

        Graduate Student: The homework, texts, and projects all have been very helpful in learning the material to be on exams, the objectives of the classes are clear and educational material has been exciting to learn. The professors are great with communication and classmates have been helpful in the learning experience as well. Not to go without mention, awesome vip student seating at USC football games!

          Graduate Student: University of Michigan’s School of Public Health is fine. It’s going through some growing pains as the credentialing gets updated and it’s noticeable, but still a good school. The general public health classes you take are not great, but your department specific ones are amazing!

              Graduate Student: I am in a blended program to earn a Masters in Public Health Informatics. We're required to be on campus the first few days and the last few days of each semester, so I travel to Atlanta a few times a year. I have been very pleased by the level of engagement of the professors in this program. They have all made themselves very available and are very concerned that we're satisfied with the quality of the instruction. There is an instructional designer assigned to every course, responsible for making sure that all the online components work well. I've already learned things that I can put to work in my day job and look forward to the opportunities that will be available to me as a result of the education I'm receiving.

                Graduate Student: I've had an incredible experience as a grad student at UC Berkeley. The current program that I'm enrolled in is relatively new, and although there are quite a few kinks that the program is ironing out (funding, quality instructors, classroom space) what I love most about my program is the desire to include students in the decision making process to enhance the program for future students. I've enjoyed having an influence on the direction the program will take, as well as advocating for many of the basic needs of my program and fellow students. I've also enjoyed taking classes led by engaging professors who are dedicated to preparing me for the real world. I love that many of my classes have woven the theoretical aspects of academia with real-world application. Other highlights of UC Berkeley are the gorgeous campus, the extremely active student body, accessibility of resources, the myriad student engagement activities, and the name recognition the University carries. Go Bears!

                  Graduate Student: Being at Carolina is an incredible experience. Coming in a transfer student, I can honestly say I wish I had more time here. Majority of the professors are caring, understanding, and knowledgeable about their craft, and you can tell how excited some are to share what they know to their students and help them succeed.

                  School pride is BIG thing here and once a Tar Heel always a Tar Heel. There’s an indescribable connectedness and family feel you get once you enter Carolina that can’t be found once outside of it. With that in mind, Carolina can be like a bubble if you don’t step outside your comfort zone and experience what surrounding areas have to offer. You can find your niche here, however, as there is SOMETHING for everybody.

                   That being said, the culture is accepting but keep in mind that it is the South so some views are still dated.

                  At the end of it all, those years will fly by and the memories you create will last a lifetime.

                      Graduate Student: I have attended the University of Rochester School of Nursing for my Bachelors degree in nursing and am currently enrolled for my doctorate of nursing practice degree to become a family nurse practitioner. The school has flexible class times, including evening class time for students who work traditional day-time hours. Many of the classes are completely online or hybrid courses. The professors are often practicing nurses or advanced practice nurses, which allow students to obtain the best possible education. The school is across the street from Strong Memorial Hospital, which makes it convenient for students to juggle work and school schedules.

                        Graduate Student: Stevens allowed me to spread my wings. In Junior year I joined a fraternity, and the brothers were great. I was able to be recruited right out of college, with a great offer. The professors were there to always help out. I was also able to obtain, online my Masters Degree in Systems Engineering.

                            Graduate Student: Beautiful and walk-able campus. Small enough that you know people in your classes, but big enough that you could meet someone new every day if you tried. Main street is nice. Definitely bring a car or you will quickly feel stuck. Lots of different types of housing options in the area. Biking is easy. Classes range from three people to hundreds depending on the major. Get ice cream at UDairy.

                                Graduate Student: Washington State University is a beautiful campus. The rolling hills might be difficult to adjust to for someone from a flatter city or town, but it has its charm. The university has a great atmosphere and numerous dining options throughout the area. Ferdinand's has some delicious ice cream and cheese! I don't like the parking situation though. Prices are high, good permits are few, and on certain football weekends, you aren't allowed to park in your lot on Fridays. I fell in love with the veterinary campus when I toured a few years ago and now have the honor of being a Cougar and a vet student here. If there’s nothing going on around town, Moscow, Idaho is just a short drive away.

                                  Graduate Student: The University of Connecticut is a very supportive, diverse, academically enriching place for education growth. I have learned a great deal from the very knowledgeable and helpful professors and staff on the West Hartford campus. I think that the campus has a lot to offer with extra curricular activities and involvements and UCONN does a great job of trying to get students involved outside of the classroom. I would highly recommend this campus and the Master's of Social Work program to anyone interested. The parking is convenient, the campus is small, and the environment is personable. I am honored the opportunity to pursue my masters degree at this prestigious university.

                                    Graduate Student: I had an extremely pleasant experience with the admission counselors, their direction and advice was very helpful!                                       Graduate Student: Rochester Institute of Technology is a great place to learn just about whatever you want. This university caters to several interests from jewelry making, photography, science, to engineering. RIT has a lot of international students as well as students all over the US so it is a place of great diversity where all walks of life can share their cultures and beliefs. RIT also makes an effort to include the surrounding community in Rochester and the annual festival, Imagine RIT, is a great example of this. This festival indulges students and the community alike into vast displays of student work, projects, and ideas for a fun and educational experience.

                                          Graduate Student: My experience in the College of Education and Social Services at the University of Vermont has been incredible. It has afforded me the opportunity to combine my passions for education, social justice and counseling into one experience. I feel as if when I graduate, I will be very much prepared for the work field. If I could change some things particularly regarding my program it would be honing in more on school counselor’s roles and duties. We are trained to be very skilled counselors but when it comes to other school counselor duties (I.e. consultation, collaboration, dats collecting and delivering) it falls short.

                                            Graduate Student: I appreciated the visit day that allowed accepted graduate students to meet with fellow hopefuls, professors, administrative staff and students to get a better understanding of the college, expectations, and fit. I connected with some student who were instrumental in how I approached my class work and how I was successful in those ventures. This will also provide networking opportunities when I look for work. I find that I am a lot less stressed than my fellow classmates because I prepared well for my academics on the wisdom garnered from these connections. I appreciate the professors and feel like academically I made the right decision coming here.

                                              Graduate Student: I attended the University of New Hampshire during my undergrad, 2011-2015 and graduate with a Bachelors Degree in Kinesiology, in Athletic Training, and I can honestly say, I feel honored to have graduated from such an institution. The curriculum that I followed was like no other, it was 'intense' and hard but allowed me to develop more skills that I knew I could learn. I was taught to act quickly and calm in difficult situation, I was taught interpersonal skills and with so much money behind my degree, attending UNH allowed me to figure out what is important.
                                              All the professions, no matter if they were associated with my program or not, were very helpful and understanding and encouraged office hours if someone was falling behind. I felt like someone body other than myself wanted me to succeed.
                                              In regards to the social life, there is a lot it, and that sure is not a bad thing! I gained some of my best friends while at UNH and I couldn't be more thankful.

                                                Graduate Student: I am currently in my last year at Catholic University of America, and I am very happy I chose this school to pursue my MSW at. The curriculum is easy to understand. The online learning option is perfect for me as I do not live near the campus. I really enjoy being able to carry on with the rest of my life while still being able to participate in class work, and an education through this wonderful school! I would recommend Catholic University of America to anyone and everyone interested in pursuing graduate studies for social work. Great Place to attend!
