          Alum: Georgetown is a prestigious university and when it comes time to enter the workforce, employers are impressed when they see it on a resume. I currently work for a fortune 50 company and I was told that my impressive education is part of the reason I got the job. The campus is beautiful, historic, and quaint. You also have the ability to easily venture out in DC if you want to explore countless bars and concert venues. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Georgetown and am grateful to have it on my resume today. Housing is expensive near campus, but it’s totally worth it to live in Georgetown and experience all the it has to offer. People do have to study hard since the academics are challenging, but after the exams everyone likes let loose.

              Graduate Student: I've had an incredible experience as a grad student at UC Berkeley. The current program that I'm enrolled in is relatively new, and although there are quite a few kinks that the program is ironing out (funding, quality instructors, classroom space) what I love most about my program is the desire to include students in the decision making process to enhance the program for future students. I've enjoyed having an influence on the direction the program will take, as well as advocating for many of the basic needs of my program and fellow students. I've also enjoyed taking classes led by engaging professors who are dedicated to preparing me for the real world. I love that many of my classes have woven the theoretical aspects of academia with real-world application. Other highlights of UC Berkeley are the gorgeous campus, the extremely active student body, accessibility of resources, the myriad student engagement activities, and the name recognition the University carries. Go Bears!

                Graduate Student: Being at Carolina is an incredible experience. Coming in a transfer student, I can honestly say I wish I had more time here. Majority of the professors are caring, understanding, and knowledgeable about their craft, and you can tell how excited some are to share what they know to their students and help them succeed.

                School pride is BIG thing here and once a Tar Heel always a Tar Heel. There’s an indescribable connectedness and family feel you get once you enter Carolina that can’t be found once outside of it. With that in mind, Carolina can be like a bubble if you don’t step outside your comfort zone and experience what surrounding areas have to offer. You can find your niche here, however, as there is SOMETHING for everybody.

                 That being said, the culture is accepting but keep in mind that it is the South so some views are still dated.

                At the end of it all, those years will fly by and the memories you create will last a lifetime.

                  Graduate Student: Professors are professional, empathetic, and knowledgable in their field in the social work department. It is near Washington Square Park where many people hang out whether its laying in the grass, skateboarding, or listening to music. Campus is large and clean. Although, a racist action had taken place on campus, there seems to be an active anti-racist sentiment that is bing developed into the campus culture.

                    Graduate Student: Quality of professors is great. Emphasis on learning and building skills is on point. I am a working professional while working on my masters. The university allows this opportunity for people like me through the Option III graduate programs. The program requires attending class once a month and everything else is online. Working in groups is a key to learning and with the diversity of the cohort this becomes ground zero for the experience. My cohort included working professionals from several industries including aerospace, software, oil & gas, entrepreneurs, etc... The perspective you get from working in such dynamic groups is invaluable and helps everyone grow as a professional and student.

                      Alum: My experience at the University of Florida was top notch. From the faculty, staff and caliber of students I truly enjoyed all I learned and skills I obtained. Furthermore, the classroom facilities and campus buildings were very nice and up to date for all courses and needs.
                      Outside of the classroom, the city of Gainesville is so much fun. Activities from grabbing some great local food to attending an athletic event were common on a day to day basis. UF is a great place to be!

                        Graduate Student: I absolutely love Boston University! I am actually an online student who lives in Seattle, Washington but recently had the chance to visit this Boston University in person this past February! The architecture is beautiful and the location is as well. I would have been attending the School of Social Work which is a separate campus and is right next to a beautiful body of water. Since I do not attend BU in person, I would love to say that my online professors have been more than helpful; they have personally inspired me as well as motivated me. My professors go above and beyond for me, this is why I will always choose Boston University and recommend this school to everyone!

                          Graduate Student: I'm in my second year as a grad student at UW-Madison. It's great! I really like it! The university overall is extremely research based, which is not for everybody. I do think that the incredible reputation of this university is mostly built on alumni relations, rather than actual academic quality. Madison is a fantastic place, the campus is beautiful, and State Street leading up to the capitol are iconic.

                                  Graduate Student: I could not love this university more. There is a place for everyone and college is what you make of it. I had a job on campus for three years, and was involved in clubs and research. Getting involved was the best decision I ever made. I was committed to many things, always busy, and enjoyed every moment. It doesn’t hurt that sports are fun there. The opportunities are endless, and if you reach out and make an effort you will enjoy your time. I even worked for the university for a year at the Medical Center before going back to graduate school now!

                                    Graduate Student: Being in the history department, the faculty is second to none. They are extremely supportive to students and inventive on creating a unique learning experience. The bureaucracy of the school is crippling in trying to navigate basic student needs such as financial aid and registration. They are not helpful unless you visit them in person, which makes it impossible when you try to reach them over any breaks if you’re not near DC. The school does not value having graduate student housing, as seen by their elimination of it in the 2020-21 school year. Their scholarships are, while generous, misleading in the amount of time they will be received. I would rather have known I would receive aid for all four semesters at smaller increments than to have it depleted in my first year, something only the finest of print alludes to. Otherwise, the opportunities provided by education at GW is excellent and the ability to take classes across departments germane to your research focus is great.

                                          Graduate Student: If you are looking for a diverse campus that offers wonderful programs administered by gifted professors, then the University of South Florida is right for you. The main campus of USF, is located right in the middle of Tampa, Florida. It is surrounded by fine dining, theme parks, a lively downtown, and beautiful beaches. My time at USF has always been a pleasure, and I have been fortunate enough to meet and study beside some of the most gifted individuals. My favorite part of USF is the staff because they are always readily available to help you with anything and everything. They truly have made my experience AT USF an easy one!

                                            Graduate Student: The University of Utah has a good graduate program for a variety of students. Its greatest strengths are the quality of professors, academic opportunities, and surrounding environment. As a graduate student in the school of music, there is a great music scene with many of opportunities in the city, from the Utah Symphony to the Mormon Tabernacle. Many say that the Mormon presence dominates SLC, but I honestly have not noticed any major influence that affects my overall experience. While diverse, the program is perhaps more on the moderate/traditional side compared to programs in other nearby states. However, there are many opportunities for travel and funding to pursue academic endeavors (conferences, workshops, etc.). Overall, I have greatly enjoyed my time here (and especially being surrounded in the beautiful Utah Valley)!
