Doctoral Student: I would highly recommend applying to Graduate Resident and Resident Assistant roles in the dorms on campus. Housing can be very expensive, and I helped cut this cost by working as a Resident Assistant on campus. Current Doctoral student: The academic program is well-suited for students who are pursuing a clinical career. The courses are set up in a "flipped" model, where students are responsible for gaining a baseline understanding of the material prior to class and discussing in greater detail during class. Case-based learning allows us to apply what we have learned in an environment that simulates real-world experiences and is critical in retaining information. Current Master's student: The Applied Epidemiology program is excellent. The professors are absolutely brilliant and approachable, and the curriculum has prepared me for the work of an epidemiologist. My largest criticism is that the program could easily be condensed into 3 semesters and that the core curriculum can sometimes attempt to capture far too much without delving into any one skill sufficiently....
