Master's Student: The resources at Yale are outstanding. While some of the required courses are slow-moving and less informative, I do have more academic freedom in my second year to the program to take classes that I enjoy across all departments (including data science, statistics, computer science, and law).... Graduate Student: I have been a graduate student at Duke for almost 4 years in a life-science related PhD( Cell Biology) program. I would highly recommend Duke STEM graduate programs to anyone. Graduate school has a good support systems for students overall when it comes to professional development, exploring alternative career options, student wellness overall. In the past there has been some disagreements between the school administration and graduate school council regarding some student benefits ( coverage of dental insurance etc), but overall I would say students are content with Duke.... Alum: I enjoyed my time at the Tepper School. The most positive factors influencing my review were the small class size in the Part-Time Program (meaning that you didn't fight for 1:1 time with your professors [as this is what your tuition should primarily support], and that you really had a chance to become a tight-knit community with your classmates), the quant-heavy curriculum, and the partnerships the TS had with other departments, specifically with respect to product development, the school of public policy, and the various sponsored hackathons & engineering to business bridge programs that span across ALL the Carnegie Mellon schools.... Alum: The MS MIT program allowed me to pursue a degree from UVA without having to move to Charlottesville. It was a full time curriculum, despite the fact that most classes (which were in the DC area) were on weekends. In addition, the class also enjoyed "in residence" periods in Charlottesville for a week at a time, which allowed the class to get to know each other socially. (I don't know if the latter is still offered, post-COVID.)... Read 2 reviews

Alum: NYU has a strong brand name internationally, and in my honest opinion it remains among those few private institutions where you can still get the return on your investment for your education. I secured a Research Assistant Technician job for two years directly after graduating from GSAS, and the combined experiences enabled me to get into medical school after reapplication. For "city kids", New York University is the school for you. New York City is your campus, which may not be for everyone, especially those who want the traditional 'college quad' setup like at an Ivy League school or small liberal arts school. I was able to commute to school from Brooklyn. Bobst Library is like a church to me. Thank you, NYU, for helping me get a 2nd chance at becoming a doctor! I went from a failed Princeton premed to a successful University of Rochester School of Medicine alum who has gone on to becoming a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon in solo private practice.... Doctoral Student: I think it’s a very good law school that provides the best opportunity to receive a law degree without busting the bank. Master's Student: At the moment, I'm a student at University of Wisconsin-Madison, and I am planning to enter my second year of graduate school in the School of Social Work. As an undergraduate, I was able to attend UW Madison, where I received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Attending the University of Wisconsin Madison opened up doors for me and gave me the opportunity to get involved in research and other extracurricular activities. Through this program, I was able to work in a lab and conduct my own research. In addition, I was able to build relationships outside of the school and participate in community outreach programs through the diversity of courses offered. Although being a first generation student was difficult, having support in the form of professors, grad mentors, and advisors enabled me to grow and develop skills that I did not know I had. It has contributed to my success as a person today.... Read 6 reviews

Doctoral Student: As an international student, it is quite easy to be feeling left out of social events and parties but generally colleagues are mostly very friendly and open-minded to learn about diverse cultural experiences from other countries. The faculties here are relatively young and prolific in producing works and they are always open to work with grad students whenever students reach out. The overall atmosphere is that grad students and faculties together are eager to make the program better and always cooperating to realize them.... Read 5 reviews

Master's Student: I had a great experience at Suffolk university. I did my undergrad there and stayed for my masters as well. It is a great environment for students, as there are a lot of things to do. There are many clubs and organizations to support your interests and career plans. There are a lot of opportunities to meet new people on campus. There are a lot of resources there for students to succeed. I was able to get my dream job through the organizations on campus. They invited the firm I wanted to work for, and I was able to network with them. During my time there, I made a lot of friends and joined many clubs. I was in a dance team, which allowed me to connect and make friends. I studied abroad at the Suffolk University Madrid Campus. I really do not have any complaints because I took advantage of the resources provided. All in all, Suffolk University is what you make of it. It is diverse and has the city of Boston as its campus.... Read 15 reviews
