With a smaller class size this year, students are able to get more one on one time with the professors to go over topics discussed in class and midterm exams or final exams from the previous semester. Overall, the faculty and staff work very hard to ensure your success. Alum: I earned my MPA from American University in 2009. The university has a consistently nationally-ranked top MPA program due to its rigorous curriculum, and experienced and accomplished faculty that draw a diverse group of students. As a graduate student who worked full time I did not participate in student life per se but I observed it was an active campus and there are opportunities to be involved with public and international affairs due to the school’s programs and location in D.C. I formed some close bonds with other grad students and truly grew through the experience. I highly recommend the university and this degree program for students interested in public service, nonprofit sector, and policy.
