Master's Student: I’ve only just started so this may not be accurate. But so far I’ve felt welcomed especially as a student of color. My only challenge has been with funding for my program. Grad programs here don’t seem to be very well funded which hurts BIPOC and first gen students.... Read 2 reviews

Niche User: I really have enjoyed this school quite a bit. It’s small enough so that you get much needed one on one attention. I can only speak for the science program but from my experience thus far it has been amazing. I am gradually beginning to come out of my shell a lot more and I’m starting to realize the world is not always a dark, scary place.... Read 20 reviews

Current Master's student: The professors are so encouraging and helpful, they really let you explore your passions while challenging you to think differently. They have so many options for you to pursue based on your individual interests. They also are very generous with their grants and scholarships which made it possible to choose to attend Clemson.... Master's Student: The best parts of my program have been the field experience and collaborating with other individuals in my classes of different age groups. I have learned an immense amount from my colleagues in all of my courses and find that we support each other in a way that I never experienced as an undergrad at Miami University. In this field of work it is important that you have people who you can lean on and go to for questions and I have found that here in this program. I would say the only thing that I dislike about this program is how it is completely online. I say that only because I would love to have in-person classes with my colleagues to make those supports and relationships stronger. Overall this is an awesome program that Miami provides and I could not be any happier with my experience.... Read 1 review

Master's Student: The application process to get accepted was very thoroughly laid out for me. My classes are all online, so I am able to create a work-life balance. There are advisors available in several departments that use a "No wrong door" policy when I ask clarifying questions. My professors so far have all been fair and responsive. Getting hooked up with internships when living out of state is probably the most stressful part of going to this school. However, my advisor in that area is also very responsive and helpful. Getting the required textbooks are reasonable and available for rent online in PDF format. Professors have not yet required the newest of the new textbooks and I haven't seen any conflict of interest in textbook requirements. It's reasonably affordable and very convenient. I compare homework assignments with my peers where I live and there is a definite difference in the quality of work that is expected of me as compared to people going to school online at campuses near me....
