The law school has excellent professors and support staff that check on you personally as well as checking on your mental health stemming from the academic rigor of the law courses. I never had a university check on your mental health and if you are feeling overwhelmed from the program they will talk with you or even provide the student with the resources to assist in overcoming the stress. Doctoral Student: At first, I didn't know anyone and from the social aspect, I felt a bit out of place. Over time, however, this changed and I have made some wonderful friends. What I really loved was the academic support the students receive from the professors. There is a lot of competition for scholarships, and this spring I lost some of my original scholarship. Sadly, the online learning due to the coronavirus resulted in pass/fail grades so I lost my opportunity to bring up my grades this spring. Ironically, I suffered from the coronavirus this spring as well but I managed to keep up with my school work. As far as what I would change, it would be the tuition. Thousands of us will be suffering with student loans. Our monthly payments will be higher than our parent's mortgages. Would I say my degree is worth that price? I love the law and I want to help people who can't help themselves such as the elderly and special needs children. Will the price tag be worth it? Time will tell.... Read 6 reviews
