Master's Student: I have yet to officially begin my time as a student there, however, this summer I've been working with the Cancer and Weight Management Lab team by helping making informational videos for their upcoming projects, to one day show their participants. From this, I have worked closely with one of the PhD students, as well as the head professor, and have found the experience to be great thus far! I am doing it remotely, since I have not moved down yet, but there is constant communication, both via email and Zoom, the environment with the team is welcoming, and even if I am confused, everyone is very helpful. Alum: This program was exceptional! I really enjoyed this program. It was very convenient and all the professors were available. They also were very helpful and took out the time to answer any questions that I may have had or any concerns that I may have had. The best part of the program is that they paced everything on the students time. Thought there were deadlines, they were still very reasonable. The worst parts were very minimal. Master's Student: Biomedical Engineering was my major and science is important to society because it is an integral part of it. Civilization would look very different without science and not in a good way. Master's Student: High Point University's academics are truly extraordinary! I went from a 3.3GPA student in high school to a 3.7GPA student at HPU. My professors all have office hours and phone numbers to reach them at for help if you need it, yet they never coddle any students. As a student with a learning disability, I felt very comfortable inside the classroom and feel more than prepared as I am about to graduate this year. Some majors have a more rigorous curriculum than others, but there seems to always be a healthy balance between exams, papers, projects, proposals, essays, and regular homework. Master's Student: Overall, I enjoyed my experience in my school's Information Technology program. My first semester in the program I received and accepted an internship offer from our program sponsor - Nationwide. The program chairperson was always sending students opportunities on different programs, fellowships, scholarships, and internships. At times there was lack of communication from the staff in the program. I had one professor who wouldn't notify students that class was cancelled which left many of us commuting to campus for no reason.
