Current Doctoral student: The people in my program made Cornell great. Fellow grad students and most faculty are incredibly friendly and collaborative! The actual coursework is only your first 2years and I didn’t think that was the best so I wish they improved those classes or eliminated the requirement altogether. The graduate school OISE (office for inclusion and student engagement) staff are also amazing and really go above and beyond to support minority students through programs, events, and professional development opportunities.... Master's Student: I am a part a pretty amazing program at NYU Tisch School of the Arts, the Rita and Burton Goldberg Department of Dramatic Writing, where talented artist and writers get the opportunity to cross train and learn all avenues of writing and storytelling. Writing for the stage, playwriting, for the screen, tv and film, screenplays etc. This program also provide wonderful opportunities to network with a ton of talented people in the business and those trying to break into the business. It is one to the top recommended programs for playwriting and screenwriting. My experience has been a positive one so far, everyone on the faculty has been so kind and helpful and I am Uber excited to start in the fall. The only thing, is this school and program is pretty expensive and I am looking for any assistance I can that would help me thrive in such a program and create the next big screenplay and more!... Doctoral Student: I will be started classes Fall 2020, so my experience with this university thus far are limited. At this moment, I have generally positive impressions of the faculty and student body. The faculty do try to engage students to foster intimate relationships and help promote a positive overall experience for their students. I appreciate the drive for collaboration among students as it attempts to eliminate the cohort competition sentiment that can often be felt among university students. Current Master's student: Overall the program seems great so far. I'm doing the online program for MTF, I do wish we had more ability to choose when our classes are held, it's such a small group there's typically only one session for each subject, always on Mondays and Tuesdays so you can't really double up and take extra classes even if you academically were capable of it. I wish Syracuse itself was nicer as a city as well, although I'm online I am local to Syracuse and it is not a very nice city, although it has come a long way.... Read 63 reviews

Current Master's student: Student life at RIT is pretty great. The facilities we have access to on-campus really enrich the experience. Since RIT promotes development in all aspects of life. For physical fitness, I've made use of so many sporting facilities like the gym, swimming pools, sauna, and indoor as well as outdoor running tracks. Spiritual, religious, and mental well-being, are looked after at the interfaith center and Student Health Center respectively Besides this, there are over 3000 on-campus events every year, which makes students feel like they belong. Even within the academic departments, there are weekly meet-ups where you can informally meet faculty and admin persons, which gives you a sense of community. Besides that, there's always on-campus job availability, which is incredibly helpful, as it helps students supplement their expenses, while also giving them job experience. Master's Student: As a NY resident, I was excited to go to Binghamton University because I'd be meeting people with similar backgrounds. As a student in their graduate program, the faculty make it an incredibly easy transition. Although the weather at BU may be a little crazy, there are many new buildings on campus that were recently built that make the campus fun to be at. I enjoyed all the people I've met there. As an undergrad student at The School of Management, the faculty did an amazing job at guiding students throughout their careers. Not only did they help me with registering for classes and picking a concentration, but they are available constantly to give career advice, set up interviews, and curate relationships between alumni.... Master's Student: My time at Fordham has been incredibly enjoyable and easy going academically. I enjoy that the school offers so many resources for kids to use in order to succeed as much as possible. The school's four concentration options—clinical, leadership and macropractice (Focus A Human Services Leadership and Focus B Community Based Practice and Leadership), research, and both—are my favorites. Master's Student: The professors in my department are very supportive and will help you get through the didactic year. They continue to help provide great support during the clinical year as well. The only downside is that you will not know your entire schedule for the clinical year, which makes it difficult to plan, financially speaking. Many of our rotations are local, which definitely helps. The program is in a rural area so rent is fairly reasonable. Commuting to and from rotations is not difficult but you need a car to get around. The program has told us that they are working to have rotations prepared earlier for future cohorts. I am sure that the pandemic has made it increasingly difficult to find placement for rotations. Preceptors on local rotations are very helpful and enjoy working with students. The financial aid department has its own representative for graduate students, who is extremely helpful and responds quickly. The student portal is up to date and is easy to use. Graduate Student: ACPHS is a great school when it comes to preparation for your future with regard to the Pharmaceutical/ Health Sciences field. While ACP does have a rigorous program, if one has the heart and dedication to apply themselves in addition to finding enjoyment in the field of health sciences, this school is definitely the right spot to be. Nestled right next to Albany Medical Center, ACPHS has a great networking capabilities and, through the use of the right resources, amazing opportunities both while attending and after graduation. Having such a small size, the school has a tight-knit community and a smaller campus as well. If smallness doesn't bother you and you are content with building life-long relationships with your peers who all have the same interests as you, then ACPHS is definitely the right choice....
