Current Master's student: QBS program is an interdisciplinary curriculum that builds strong conceptual foundations while also emphasizing real-world applications. Additionally, the program offers a great deal of flexibility, which enabled students to adjust their studies as their interests developed and evolved. The close-knit and inclusive nature of QBS and Dartmouth in general was a wonderful environment in which to learn.... Read 7 reviews

Master's student: The Masters of Public Health at UNH-Manchester is a small program. My "class" has about 8-9 people. It does draw people at all levels - some right out of undergrad, some early professionals, some health care professionals looking to bolster their current knowledge and credentials, and some seasoned professionals switching careers entirely such as myself. The program has some long-time faculty and also there were some new instructors hired just this year. Overall the program has high expectations of all the students and there is significant work to complete (mostly reading, preparing presentation materials, writing papers) outside of the class room. Some of the group work has been a struggle between different levels of work ethic and schedules. The courses that had synchronous online class time were exhausting to be online for 4 hours and limited motivation for discussions, but the instructors were well prepared and organized. The in-person classes I have appreciated much more.... Read 49 reviews

Master's Student: So far, my time at Southern New Hampshire University has been fantastic. From the helpful advisors and folks at financial aid to the instructors, everyone is passionate and dedicated to seeing students succeed. As someone who works in the educational field, this isn't always a guarantee and it can often feel as though institutes are just out to get your money. This couldn't be further from the truth of my experience with SNHU--I've learned a tremendous amount of knowledge in just a few short months and cannot wait to continue my education with SNHU! The flexibility around schedules and low course costs make it possible for me to maintain my work schedule while flourishing in my classes. The compassion and understanding that each person at SNHU has exhibited is quite honestly refreshing and makes it easy to show up as your true self. I highly recommend SNHU to folks looking to change their career while juggling other responsibilities, they've made it easy going back to school!... Read 582 reviews

Master's Student: The academics were challenging but helped me grow. I recommend Rivier University for online learning. Overall, it was a great experience. The professors care about your success. The courses were challenging but I learned a lot. I am glad I enrolled in the FNP program online. It was a great way to enroll as a part time student while working at the same time. Every week in each class you do a discussion board where you interact with your classmates. You respond to each others posts weekly. Canvas was challenging at first if you haven’t done online classes before but I quickly got the hang of it. The program was affordable compared to others, which was a motivator. A lot of my co-workers also attend Rivier. My co-workers have similar reviews and viewpoints. One thing that is challenging though is that you have to find your own clinicals. I think this is the most difficult and negative part of the program. Overall, I would recommend it to other prospective graduate students.... Read 19 reviews

Alum: I was a student in the master of arts in Public Policy program from 2018 to 2020 -all classes were online. I feel the program helped me fine tune my policy analysis skills. All of the professors were very knowledgeable, approachable, and understanding. I felt supported throughout my time in the program. I also made friends with other students easily and remain in contact with several of my former classmates. I did not have much of a connection to the physical college and only visited once in person.... Read 11 reviews

Alum: The classes I took at this school became very useful to the career I’m in now. I’m in the military and while completing my BS degree here, I got promoted to a more intense leadership position, however the base I was at did not provide me enough leadership opportunities to grow my leadership/management skills. However, taking the classes I did At this school, mitigated the leadership skills shortfall I experienced. So when I moved on to my next base, I wasn’t to far behind in my leadership/management capabilities.... Read 8 reviews
