Master's Student: Something specifically admirable about the Brown School showed me how much the school cares about its students current and incoming. Though I wish I would have known before I wrote the essay myself, they decided that the application requirement of an analytical essay was acting more as a block rather than an invitation for students of all backgrounds to apply. Because of this, they removed it from the application in hopes of creating a platform where students felt included rather than singled out based on prior knowledge or a lack thereof. Master's Student: After declaring a major in biomedical engineering, I took a liking to learning about biological tissues and their interactions with potential treatment systems. My undergraduate and graduate education are both centered around the concept of treating tissue. The worst experience of my education at SLU was enduring the online learning caused by the COVID pandemic. I thrive in environments that feature a human connection, and the online courses severed that experience. After completing most of my required core and prerequisit courses online, I experienced a new found appreciation for in-person learning while taking courses such as "Regenerative Engineering" and "Tissue Material Interface." These classes augmented my experience in a research laboratory working to develop treatment for volumetric muscle loss (VML). Researching VML treatments has been the best and most beneficial part of my time at SLU as I have learned how to apply my learning to make a tangible difference for the wounded.... Read 44 reviews

Doctoral Student: I was accepted to my first choice and I have the opportunity of a lifetime. The application process for Veterinary Medicine Programs is lengthy and exhausting. Applications are due mid-September each year with most decisions coming after the new year. The waiting period is daunting. Some institutions have interviews like the University of Missouri Vet Med program. The dedication of the staff is noticeable. As nervous as I was for my interview, the day was amazing. The faculty, and student ambassadors went out of their way to accommodate everyone helping with the flow as well as helping to try and dissipate the fears and anxiety of the interviewees. The tears of joy, relief, and excitement were overwhelming the day I received a phone call from the recruiter. I have since started my program and have received support and commitment from everyone above and beyond my expectations. Current Master's student: There are three things that make Rockhurst University a great school. First, is my caring advisor, Dr. Hicks, who has helped me develop a degree plan, that can help me earn the degree that I desperately want. Next, are the humbleness and carting instructors. In all the recent courses that I have taken, I felt like both of my professors really cared about my academic success,because they offered me all the support that they could to help me successfully get through my classes. Not only did they offer me academic support, but individed attention outside of their work hours, to provide me with the necessary tutoring that I needed to succeed. I also found my professors being supportive with the us.Finally. I liked how the elementary education program at Rockhurst university, provides graduate students the opportunity to combining both STEM education, with elementary education. Master's Student: My experience at MSU has been great so far. Although I have had amazing times here at Missouri State University in my studies I have also had negatives that have held me back. In my undergraduate years I was hoping to get more involved in my future job. I am a hands on learner and I believe everyone benefits from experience. This school is a lot of textbook material, which I know is important as well, but in the future hands on will increase ones experiences. Sometimes throughout different experiences I have noticed communication is poor through the university staff and students, which is something I hope increases in the future. Overall, my past four years have been absolutely amazing. There is always things going on, on campus, which shows there are always ways to get involved with organizations on campus. Master's Student: Evangel University consolidated with the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary (AGTS). I attend AGTS as a Master’s of Divinity student. I love the Evangel-AGTS community of students, professors, staff, and employees. I am honored and blessed that the LORD led me to attend seminary in such an enriching environment with many opportunities to serve the student body, the community, and the church. There is also the unique partnership with James River Church and an equally exciting serving partnership with Convoy of Hope. Incoming students should look into those opportunities. Overall, I am thoroughly impressed and blessed with everything that Evangel-AGTS has to offer. The one downside is the cost, but that is with any institution. Master's Student: I attended CSC for my undergraduate degree and absolutely loved my program! Very dedicated and knowledgeable professors that are always willing to help! No matter if I had a concern with my coursework, or just needed to talk about personal things going on, my psychology professors, and elective professors were always there for me. In the psychology department, there are so many different areas of psychology that you can dip your toe in. From general psych, to clinical, and even the specialized minor in child advocacy, there is a “niche” for everyone! I am so excited to be continuing my education with my beloved professors for the graduate program. The CSC MAC is a brand new program ran by one of the most brilliant professors on campus. The program offers two pathways, school counseling and clinical mental health. I am confident that this program will help me further my education, connections, and resources within my career.
