There are advisors available in several departments...Getting hooked up with internships when living out of state is probably the most stressful part of going to this school. However, my advisor in that area is also very responsive and helpful. Getting the required textbooks are reasonable and available for rent online in PDF format. Professors have not yet required the newest of the new textbooks and I haven't seen any conflict of interest....

I know it's cliché, but Bemidji really did feel like a 2nd home to me. It's a small town...Biking, Fishing, Canoeing, and so on are available for you, Bemidji is a typical tourist spot for Minnesotans. There are so many beautiful paths and trails and the town is a joy to walk though.It's not your typical college experience and may take time to adjust, but looking back I wouldn't have gone anywhere else. The winter is probably the biggest complaint I hear, but it gave me 5 months...To sum it up: It's affordable and fun!Go Beavers!.
