California State University - Sacramento
Master's Student: Pros: The best part is that there are virtually no exams, just presentations, discussions, and essays. It is pretty easy to get an A. The class sizes are small so you get to know you cohort well and interact with teachers easily. People are generally really friendly and accepting. There are social events here and there. I learned a lot from the class discussions. I have only ever had positive experiences with the on campus health care. The gym is really nice. Teachers tend to be forgiving if you mess up (at least the ones I have) and classes are pretty casual.
Cons: The school has very little money, so teachers aren't paid much and facilities aren't super modern/great. The fastest you can graduate is about 2 years if you are getting your master's degree. Because class sizes are small (at least in the Biological Sciences department), they often only offer classes once a year or even less frequent. Administration and Office of Grad Studies is kind of a mess.... Read 75 reviews
