Faculty: So far I have enjoyed the majority of my university experience. The modules were not what I was expecting as Politics and Law wasn't originally advertised. Also, they state they do no exams and they make you complete unseen exams! The module pages on the intranet were helpful, the reading is useful not always the easiest to find however. This is a small university where you will be known by name by your lecturer and if that is something that you like then it's for you. If you'd rather coast university and complete the work without much interference from lecturers, you need to find a bigger university. Master's Student: I haven't started yet, but I am looking forward to continuing my education with the Virginia Commonwealth University in the spring of 2024. Being a student at the Virginia Commonwealth University will allow me to advance in my career with their progressive approach to societal issues. Master's Student: Virginia State University boasts a beautiful campus in Petersburg, VA. The school has an amazing social and academic atmosphere for personal and professional development. The Department of Chemistry and Physics provides strong foundational knowledge and experience due to the small, focus-group style class sizes (10-15 students). The faculty within the department are extremely helpful and maintain positive communication beyond graduation, updating students and recent graduates with professional/learning opportunities. Master's Student: I have enjoyed my time with Virginia Union University. VUU prides itself on being a historically black university, and offers a diverse and inclusive learning environment that promotes cultural awareness and sensitivity. Compared to larger universities, VUU has fewer resources, such as research facilities, funding opportunities, or access to certain academic databases. Current Master's student: The Master of Theology program I am currently enrolled in is a preparatory program for a student aspiring for a Ph.D./Doctoral Degree. In other words, this program is a preliminary one for the Ph.D. program. The courses are research-oriented and prepare a student to work on the research interest. There are a lot of courses available and scholarly faculty who are always ready to help you with academics are a boon to the student studying at Union Presbyterian Seminary. The systematic way of conducting classes both online and offline provides an option for interested ones not to miss classes.
