Graduate Student: Fantastic program at a great school! The administration is wonderful, and you feel completely supported every step of the way. Going back to school is a HUGE decision, but they have smoothed much of the road. ...Classes are challenging and designed to make you think critically about the topics and events being discussed. Profs definitely expect a certain level of discourse, and readings are not optional, but you learn so much!...Read 103 Reviews

Master's Student: Excellent education at at a high cost and cost of living. New york is not worthy enough to live, its expensive and dirty. NYU seems to have rigid curriculum and has diversity but sense of racism can be felt in students...One plus point is that its new york. This is an engineering school so its gonna be hard!! Opportunity wise ITS THE BEST they have career fairs like every other month. There's only one dinning hall here in Brooklyn which sucks cuz you get sick of the food but if you got the time to head to main campus its pretty good over there...NYU Tandon has so many opportunities. I got involved with one-on-one research with a professor within my first month of being on campus and that has gotten me 4 internships THAT I DIDNT APPLY FOR!!! Food kinda sucks, but professors are great and research opportunities NEVER END! Great resume builders. Also, Courant recently paired with Tandon!...Canteen food is quite good but expensive.Read 126 Reviews

Graduate Student: I've had a great experience with NYIT so far in my graduate career. I'm enrolled in the College of Osteopathic Medicine. The environment and sense of camaraderie among the medical students is exceptional. Everyone wants to help one another succeed. The pathology professors and pharmacology professors are very knowledgeable. Most of the professors are willing to answer questions and help you learn. The mentorship in this school is remarkable. There are so many programs and opportunities where you are paired with professors, alumni, and upperclassmen. The safety on campus is great. We are one of the safest campuses in the nation. The only suggestions I have for improvement is limited study spaces given the amount of students, the delayed scheduling information release by administration, limited research opportunities, limited rotation sites in the surrounding counties, and lack of on-campus housing. Otherwise, great students, great location, great faculty, and promising future...Read 14 Reviews

Master's Student: One thing that really stood out to me about Stevens Institute is their willingness to accommodate to their students, the program I am currently enrolled in provided us the opportunity to meet with the professors face to face despite us being on opposite ends of the country. This really made for a more engaging classroom for everyone to participate, especially with the professors' willingness to prompt engaging questions with thought-provoking solutions. The mixture of in-person and online avenues really helps with providing flexibility to a working student. I would suggest this school to anyone looking for well-round graduate school...Read 15 Reviews

Doctoral Student: I will be started classes Fall 2020, so my experience with this university thus far are limited. At this moment, I have generally positive impressions of the faculty and student body. The faculty do try to engage students to foster intimate relationships and help promote a positive overall experience for their students. I appreciate the drive for collaboration among students as it attempts to eliminate the cohort competition sentiment that can often be felt among university students. Additionally, the faculty make an effort to make collaborative decisions with its students, making them feel heard and valued...Read 21 Reviews

Alum: I attended the Master's of Biomedical Sciences program here and I feel that the program was challenging, organized, and aligned me for success. I was earning my masters in hopes to become a more competitive applicant when I applied to dental school and I believe completing my masters at Rutgers helped me achieve this, tremendously. The faculty are knowledgable, approachable, and supportive. There are a variety of courses to choose from, as well as specific concentrations to focus on. The courses are taught well by interesting and amazing professors who have done impressive work in their field. Being able to be taught by these professors is inspiring and allowed me to absorb the information well. Another great aspect about this program is that you are given the opportunity to take dental school and/or medical school courses which really allows you to challenge yourself and see if you're capable of handling the rigor of dental or medical school...Read 32 Reviews

Master's Student: I am a graduate student in the Parsons School of Design and a MFA major in the Design and Technology program. My career interest is to become a video game developer. I just finished my first semester at the New School and so far I like it. The professors and my classmates have been very supportive and I feel my comfortable sharing my opinions and knowledge about various subjects. This is a 360 from my undergraduate school where professors did not care about students especially ones who just learned on their own. Master's Student: The pandemic has made things difficult for everyone. The workload for your MSW is a lot and everything tends to be due at the same time. However, most of my teachers are understanding, kind, and amazing. They work with you to help you succeed. I give 4/5 stars due to how they decided to forego the next semester with the pandemic. They didn’t ask us students what we wanted to do. I wanted to stay virtual because of family’s health reasons, but I have one class in-person (which is better than many of my other classmates, who have multiple in-person classes)...Read 31 Reviews

Master's Student: I love taking classes at Seton Hall University! The professors are energetic, engaging, and extremely empathetic. I love that they are approachable because it's important for me to feel comfortable asking questions. The small classes made it easy for me to get to know my classmates, reminding me that I always have a supportive network to reach out to. When COVID-19 happened, I took it upon myself to reflect and explore the different ways I could take better care of myself. In fact, I wanted to host my own "Prioritizing Self-Care During COVID" event. I'm so grateful that two professors with doctorate degrees agreed to help me. I felt honored to receive support outside of the classroom, especially with planning and coordinating the event. This school is a powerhouse of positive energy and supportive people. Master's Student: I am in the Fashion and Textile Studies M.A. program at FIT and have just completed my first semester. In my collections management course, I have learned so much about taking proper care of objects using archival materials. I have also learned all is there to know about Western textiles and 19th century fashion. As a previous undergraduate science major, I enjoyed my Fiber and Fabrics class, where we learned about fiber analysis and microscopy as well as fiber identification. Master's Student: I have gone to John Jay College of Criminal Justice for my undergraduate degree and now my graduate degree and I love this school. This school offers many opportunities from faculty, events, clubs and more. The school clubs are a very big part of the college experience since there is an ample variety of clubs and it is possible to create new ones. One thing I would change is spreading awareness to the students about the clubs. As a mostly commuter school, people may find themselves going to school and leaving straight after their classes. If there was more club awareness, I believe more people would participate in the clubs and it would change their overall college experience for the better...Read 57 Reviews

The campus is beautiful, and offers everything you need to conduct classes. You don't need hugely advanced technology to conduct classes. Alum: The university is very supportive. It also local to where I live. I'm already on my second year as a part-time graduate student, and despite the slow progress I am very optimistic still on my journey to acquire my Master's degree. The professors were also helpful and communicative. Whenever I would reach out to them through email, they would almost always reply within 24 hours. That is something I really appreciate, especially when college is something I'm paying (investing) for. It's hard to pinpoint a negative aspect since my entire experience up to now has been contrary to it. Still, I would say I have yet to see everything that Hofstra has to offer. But that is because of the current pandemic; all of my classes are online for the time being...Read 44 Reviews

Graduate Student: After my experience at Brooklyn College, I now truly consider it to be "the poor man's harvard." My experience as a Bachelor of Science degree candidate in biology was excellent. The professors were quite knowledgable and the courses were challenging enough to prepare me for medical school. Any negative reviews from people who have attended Brooklyn College must have been from students who did not take advantage of the endless resources and opportunities that are provided by the school. In addition, the cheap tuition (under $7,000 per year) allows students to receive a top-notch education at a bargain price! Most students graduate debt-free and loan free. The one thing I didn't like about Brooklyn College was that the non-science courses were easier than I would have hoped.
