I have learnt how to advocate for my clients when they need me; however, I know I want to do something more. Therefore, I decided I want to go back to school and get my master degree. Rockhurst university has offered a great opportunity for me to fulfill my career. With the Master of Science in Nursing - AGACNP, I would be able to manage complex acute, critical, and unstable chronically ill patients at risk for urgent and emergent conditions. I would also be able to provide quality care to people when they need it most. Above all, there is nothing else I am more destined to do. Current Master's student: I recently enrolled in a graduate program at MidAmerica Nazarene University to pursue my Master of Science in Nursing through the Healthcare Administration and Quality Management tract. I attended this school in 2013 for my RN to BSN program and felt that I received a quality education at an affordable price. I was able to complete my degree promptly which was important to me as I was newly pregnant when I started the program. I am now a mother of three young children and work full-time in nursing. I'm looking forward to the flexibility of online learning that I can complete at a time of day that's convenient for me and my family life. The teachers are friendly and competent in the material they are teaching and promote your success throughout the program. The class information helped to better equip me for a future in healthcare. Doctoral Student: The Occupational Therapy program at the University of Saint Mary is brand new, and because of this, there have been hiccups. Even with that being said, the program has a fantastic staff who work diligently to ensure that the students are quickly moving into emerging practitioners. Master's Student: When I came here first I immediately felt like I was cared for. I had never heard of a school with a Learning Enhancement Specialist whose job is to ensure that each student's learning potential is tapped into in whatever way possible. KCU gives each student the tools to succeed and if taken advantage of, the success of the student is very achievable. From the highest ranking faculty member, every one of the staff I came across took the time to get to know their students whenever they could. I remember actually requesting office hours with a professor just to talk about work-life-balance and he gladly obliged, where for close to an hour we talked about a myriad of topics that did not directly include any coursework... Master's Student: I have enjoyed the process and approach to the material though from time to time the material did feel repetitive. The faculty and the staff have all been more kind and helpful that I had expected so I have been pleasantly surprised. Graduate Student: The Faculty and students at Saint Paul School of Theology are one big family. There aren't a lot of us but we are all very close and always willing to help each other out. The academic side of the school is outstanding though rigorous as you may expect. Graduate Student: I would recommend City Vision University to anyone seeking higher education, but especially for those seeking to work in the nonprofit sector.
