Current Master's student: The online graduate programs are perfect for working students. They are designed to work at your own pace with clear deadlines given at the beginning of the course. The Professors hold online office hours throughout the week in case students need assistance, and give good feedback on all projects to help improve student performance. There are no tests, quizzes, or labs, as it is required to be working while going through the program to ensure your degree will help you in your current job role. To help take stress off the students the academic counselors schedule all courses to ensure degrees are completed on time at the students desired pace. Doctoral Student: The faculty at UM Flint are absolutely amazing! They are so incredibly supportive of our journey. Starting my clinical experience has been a very difficult experience. I was once training everyone and top of my game in one of the biggest ICU bed hospitals in the midwest. Now I am incredibly humbled to be back in a novice position and CRNA preceptors are constantly challenging and quizzing us throughout our day in the operating room. I've had clinical shifts where I sneak off to the bathroom and cry and the next shift I will be leaving with a grin from ear to ear. Doctoral Student: The best part of my experience is how hands on the staff is. They make you feel heard in the online courses. The worst part would be having to wait for people to get back to you. In person, people have to address your issues up front, but that is not a privilege that is afforded with online classes. Thankfully, professional staff is willing to meet with you on zoom which helps with this issue.... Read 13 reviews
