Master's Student: I was in the MBA program and my specialty was Operations Research. I lived in Plano, worked at TI at the Expressway site (took most of my classes vis the TAGER network) and had about 3 classes at the campus in Irving. 90% of my professors were very good and the others were above average, except 1 that I considered poor. Since I was a math teacher in the public school system, I felt I had a good basis for rating. Almost all my professors had a business background and most were adjuncts, which was excellent for me. Master's Student: Dallas Baptist University has a well-structured admissions process. The Admissions Staff was within reach for any inquiries. Likewise, communication was clear despite the distance to the campus. All of my processes were done either on the phone or online. However, it felt so effortless. Additionally, the Program Advisor was accessible even on weekends. he only area needing improvement is the Financial Aid Department. A week into the program, I have yet to receive information regarding the financial aid to be applied to my Fall 2023 enrollment. It can be concerning when one needs to budget each semester. Nonetheless, I can understand the rush they can have knowing that the Fall cohort is always the busiest semester for any federal or institutional aid processing. Even though I am an online student, I've received a warm welcoming. Seems they really go the extra mile to make online students feel as unique as the traditional student. Master's Student: My academic experience in Texas Woman's University has been great! I honestly learned so much in terms of trying to become a child life specialist. There was plenty of information and insight ad I honestly couldn't wait to leave work get on my laptop and learn more. Worst part would be the lack of communication between staff and students. I got my first C this past summer. I wasn't aware that I didn't count. I was supposed to graduate this December. Now due to that C, I'm going to need to take that same course again or take another elective. Due to that, I'm unable to receive financial help to pay for my last 2 classes needed to graduate.... What I can tell you is that the MMI interview process was amazing. The interview staff was friendly and approachable, connecting with me even through the computer screen. The panel was diverse, as well, featuring not only staff, but also current medical students and even resident doctors. The course provided insight into the expectations of the program and helped me to map out my time commitment and budgeting as they relate to obtaining my degree. I am also taking the opportunity to test our of several courses. As a returning student who graduated from undergraduate school in 1991, all of the new technologies would have been overwhelming had this course not been offered and required. Dallas Theological Seminary has offered several on line gatherings to help students connect and acclimate to the school and to their community. I am very excited to join the Dallas Theological Seminary family to see all that God has for me to learn there. The professors have adequate knowledge and are fully prepared to set each student up for success. Board exams need to be taken throughout the program. Tools and knowledge is given to each student to prepare us all for the future. With unlimited resources the opportunity is endless at Parker University.
