Current Master's student: UC is a great school for master's program in Engineering. Professors are highly knowledgeable, and the other faculties are resourceful. The only issue I see is the high student population from Hyderabad, India. They come in big group and do a lot of academic frauds, and pass with a 4 GPA without even being recognized by anyone. They are a tight group and very unprofessional and annoying people. Students from all other cultures are friendly and professional. Being closely acquainted with them for several months made me doubt if I am really studying in a US University. I wish UC tighten its criteria for admissions, especially in Engineering programs.... Master's Student: Innovative and rigorous; the MHSA department regularly brings in guest lecturers and opportunities to network. My program has a mandatory third year (paid) internship, which Xavier helps secure. Because of this, I'll not only be getting book knowledge but also real life experience. Current Master's student: The academic experience is great. The class sizes are usually less than twenty students per class and the professors really do care about you succeeding. However the majors are a little limited because of the small school size. You will do great academic wise if you put in the work. Some of the humanities classes can be difficult because the teachers expect more from you because they actually know your name and who you are. Alum: Going to union I had some awesome professors . I learned a lot of new needs to help improve my knowledge of education. I was able to get ongoing assistance with assignments and my professor was always available and willing to help me. I am currently working in the field of education and going back to school to get my masters it be overwhelming but I know with the help and guidance of my professor advisor and family I will reach the finish line again.... Graduate Student: The Art Academy provided me with an excellent education, a broad network of creative people working in the field and hands on experience. I was always encouraged to try new techniques and methods and enabled me to develop problem solving skills amongst a wide range of critical thinking and engagement. Although I graduated with an emphasis on drawing, the focus of my work came to be installation, sculpture and performance based work.
