Master's Student: My online graduate program is Professional Master’s in Applied Systems Engineering. This program is tailored toward students who wish to work full time while continuing their education. There are a total of 10 classes, with two 7-week classes per semester so it is fast paced but still manageable due to the program structure. Although it is an online program, there are 3 opportunities to meet with my cohort during the 2 year program in Atlanta, Georgia! I recently traveled there for the first week of class and it was a great experience meeting everyone in my cohort, including faculty that will assist us throughout the program. Georgia Tech is known for its rigorous programs and that is definitely still the case for the online program I am attending. The work-school-life balance was difficult at the beginning, but is getting better as I progress through this program! Master's Student: All of my professors and my advisor have been very knowledgeable, supportive, and helpful. I have learned so much about myself as an educator, and I have learned how to better my instructional strategies to support more effective instruction. I have a deeper understanding of educational pedagogy and how it can be utilized to best suit students' academic needs. The assignments and educational articles that I have participated in have given me a renewed and deeper understanding of how to better implement instruction, especially regarding literacy instruction. Through the literacy concentration courses I have taken, I have learned about and implemented new Science of Reading instructional strategies. Especially your assignments, some professors will remind you that something is due, but for the most part, it is your responsibility. Asking for help is ok, and there are plenty of study groups to join and the professors have office hours you can visit them for help. Overall, just don't procrastinate and you'll have a blast. Other: My best experiences include taking and learning about the wide range of psychology courses . From Abnormal Psych to Multicultural Psych, from Social Psych to Psychology of addictions. Studying psychology has always been a passion of mines and the variety of courses offered here at CCSU are seemingly endless. My worst experience has probably been waiting for my advisor to register me for courses every semester, before all the seats are filled. My General Psych credit is a tranfer credit from another institution and because it is also a prerequisite for all other Psychology courses I need an override from an academic advisor just to register for any and every Psych course of any level. There has been a few times where I did not get in to a class that I wanted because the advisor did not provide an override in time. It was and is really inconvenient for me to have to wait, hope and pray that my advisor comes across my various emails, while other students do not have such limitations.... Read 16 reviews

Doctoral Student: Life University is very culturally diverse, athletic and health-focused, positive, fun, and full of opportunities for growth, development, and learning. Life provides its students with lots of support benefits such as tutoring, both in-person and online, mental and behavioral health assistance, learning seminars, and lots of student events and challenges, along with community evolvement, and much more. The overall culture at Life is very friendly, positive, and supportive. Everyone is there for a purpose and is driven to achieve their goals. They are very health focused and have incredibly delicious, nourishing food options, a brand new gym, athletic centers for specific sports, nature trails, flowing river/relaxing areas to recharge your energy and mental health, along with various activities and clubs for student involvement. Master's Student: I have dived totally into the field of social work being here. I am learning and gaining so much knowledge. I initially come from a Marketing and Psychology background, so social work has been refreshing for me to learn and apply. We have internships and practicums going alongside classes, so everything is very organized and efficient. I love learning about the populations we will be working with in a holistic sense. Social work is very much focused on the system and unit a person is surrounded by, not just them and what appears to be wrong- it goes very much to the root of any problem that may appear. Doctoral Student: I interviewed for Morehouse School of Medicine in the fall of 2022 and was offered a seat in the graduating class of 2027. The atmosphere was one of community, and I felt at home from the very first day. There are meetings every month to check in on incoming medical students, and questions are answered about the process of getting accustomed to the MD1 year of medical school.
