Current Master's student: The best part about coming to Stanford are the people and the ability to find a group of friends who are interested in the same things that you may be very interested in . Coming from India, there is a large Indian community here such that I have never felt homesick. The campus does get a bit dead during the holidays but it is to be expected as people who do live in the USA, go back for vacations. Overall the professors are great and are leafing professionals in their respective fields doing some of the most fascinating research in the world. I would highly anyone to come here to experience this type o f workhand play hard culture that is fostered into this place.... Read 3 reviews

Alum: Stanford has a beautiful and relaxing atmosphere, much needed for students. It’s in a prime location that provides easy access to anything you need. I hear people have travelled from different places just to come visit the campus. The professors are great and they’re all rooting for your dreams and vision for a greater future. The library has an extensive amount of resources that any student/alums can access to, which gives each researcher great resources to further their paper and/or research. Master's Student: The education is outdated with all of the lectures being 4 years old, however, it is still good education. I like the option of learning on my own time with few regularly scheduled live classes. I also like the fact that I can do my clinical education where I live and in the community that I have grown up in which gives me even more sense of purpose as I continue my education and medical career. I have been able to build relationships with Physician Assistants and future Physician Assistants all over the country which I would not have the opportunity to do if I would have chose the university in my hometown.... Master's Student: This review is largely dependent upon the student attending YSPH and what they seek to gain from the experience. As a student of color in higher education, I was personally seeking a welcoming environment conducive to my academic and professional development. While YSPH offers opportunities to engage with the community, develop technical research skills, and establish a network of professional relationships, it struggles to cater to the needs of its most underrepresented, underfunded students. This includes having poor URM ratios in staff, faculty, and student populations. This is also impacted by limited transportation provisions set by Yale as well as barriers accessing healthy, affordable, and accessible grocery stores. The campus of course has great things to offer as well including a nine-story gym to encourage physical fitness and health among its students; beautiful and spacious libraries spread throughout; leisurely activities including restaurants, hiking, and shopping.... Graduate Student: I have loved my time at FES. I chose this program because it was flexible and I could design my curriculum to my research interests. Though the faculty diversity is less than I would have expected in age and global diversity, I have been able to pull faculty expertise from the entire campus, so made it work. The professional opportunities have been remarkable and I love the student culture here. Additionally, they offered the most scholarship support so I‘ll be able to graduate debt free!... With limited financial resources at hand and no familial support available to me, it became exceedingly arduous for me to fulfill the demanding fiscal obligations encompassing tuition fees, textbooks, and other indispensable study materials.
